I have lost my home, kids, living with me due to the ugliest divorce ever in 2007 and have been severly depressed since. Doing all I could to afford a room for em without child support or welfare. I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I came from a very violent childhood at the hands of my mother. I suffered a nearly four decades of addictions. My only living sibling is my beautiful sister Cecelia. She has been my”Guardian Angel” throughout my entire life. She rescued me from a possible abusive childhood death. She has been with me throughout my entire addictions, courtroom hearings, rehabilitation, and, she has shared my recovery. More than me,she deserves to be in Ellen 12 Days of Giveaway. She is the reason I am in Houston,Texas with a better life. Her and our cousin Bunny drove me from New Orleans to Houston. If it wasn’t for a flat tire at a truck stop, it would have been non stop. My sister is the backbone of our very dysfunction family. She has kept us together with her unconditional love.
I have never in my 56 years won anything. I have never been to a live show like Ellen. I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Grew up in the St. Bernard Housing Development from 1958-1971 with a very violent Mother. I never knew what it was like to live a normal life. Mine was physically,mentally,and emotionally violent. By the grace of God, my sisters saved life. I have battled alcohol and drug abuse up until February 14, 2011. I have been clean and sober since. It’s still a struggle sometimes dealing with life issues. I currently live in a nice Efficiency apt. I have never owned my own home or car. Ellen l just love ur show. I watch’s your show every day. I even dance with you when you come on in sit in my chair the same way you do and i’m suck their until the end of the show. I’ve been watching you for years. I’ve been on my own at a young age going into my adult age.at the age of 18 i’m 51 now on ssi just enough to cover rent n phone some months I don’t have anything to wash with. I’ve been struggling all my life. Everything I have is used or someone gave it to me. I go to different churches every other week to get donation they come in handy they supply my needs.i’m grateful for what l have. I will always have faith that with gods grace and mercy he has his hands on me at all times. I will always remain humble n all situation no matter what because l know god has his hands on me. Merry Christmas to u & your family , thank u for everything u do to help every family . This year has just so hard my husband last his job of 30 yrs that he loved a yr. ago hasn’t been able to find one that he’s happy w/ works here & there then they let him go . We’re behind on our bills we have a 15 yr. old that is asking nothing for Christmas due to us losing our home .its a moble home us we text they r picking it up . We tried to save it but they didn’t want to work w/ us . I use to be singing & dancing all da time now I just fill lost .i never thought I would get this hard but I’m keeping faith that things will turn around. Not celebrating Christmas this year . Ellen,I love your show but I have a Christmas wish for my mom,she’s had a hip replacement at 62 yes she has worked taking up to 6 busses a day starting at 3:40 am to help provide for us .she is now separated from my dad and lives on her ssd and can’t afford a car herself,after working and traveling like she did I wish someone would help her now I love her so ,she finds it hard to walk to the corner so now she is stuck in the house all day because she can’t walk that far I wish for her a car after what she did for us growing up.she gave to us I wish we could give to her now.after working so hard for us and finding her a single person after 41 years of marriage.could you please give her a gift of love back thank you god bless and happy holidays to you. Dear Ellen, please consider me and my mom fir tickets for the 12 days of Christmas give aways! My mom is one of the most beautiful people I know! She is the kind of person who will do anything in her power to help others. She is awlways putting sheself last. She even helps people she does not know. Ive even seen her buy a homless woman some food and the woman did not ask her too! She did things for children. Anyone who needs help she is there. The thing is she is very ill. See my mom has crippling arthritis, cancer and alot of other illnesses. She is 5’6″ and weighs 85 pounds. She is loosing her hair she has had several surgeries. The doctor has told us to enjoy this Christmas because we will be lucky if we have her next Christmas. My dad owns his own masonry co. But they make enough to just get by. My parents can not afford insurance and my mom needs alot of test and alot of meds. Roller Coaster of Sad, Glad, Bad health and wealth, loss of job, get a job but with less money, Mom now in a nursing home, gaurdian for special needs brother, work with special needs people, What a year! Please answer my prayer and send me tickets to your show….my daughter and i woyld love to do this.we never get to do anything cause im on disability with hardly any money…we love your show and watch you all the time and i just think how wonderful and lucky some people are to be able to do something sooo nice as this.both my daughter and i have had a tough time of it since shes been born she had cancer at the age of 3 and than with me having arthritis and fibromyalgia….shes 15 now and doing great thank god…but now she has to deal with me which im not that much fun anymore! Its hard to have fun when your not feeling good and not having much money to be able to do things such as vacations shopping or whatever cost.im very thankful for being able to have a roof over our heads and some food on the table….but i have no extra for the “fun” things….that normal people usually do.so this would definitly be a blessing for both of us ♥

My parents are the greatest!! But have been going through some tough times since my dad lost his job. They still have remained positive and tried to keep smiles on their faces for us.
