About 6 years ago, I developed a chronic pain condition. The medicines they had to give me made my body swell, including my fingers. Before we thought of it, I could not get my ring (weddin set ) off. My husband had to cut them off and it was very painful. It destoyed my rings of course and I haven’t had another set since. It liked to have killed me to have to do that but there was no alternative. After that, the doctors found cancer in his head. Something he was exposed to in Vietnam. There was a tumor and it was in stage 2 and in his Lyph nodes. He said he was sorry he had to do that to my rings but one day he would replace them. Material things never meant a great deal to me. But my husband does and he wants me to have another set of rings. This couldn’t have come at a better time. I know my chances are small, but we have found, miracles do still happen.
